Meridian
A business setup homepage that turns the founder's first decision, mainland or free zone, into one tap.
01 Wordmark and arrow. MERIDIAN in spaced capitals, followed by a small paper-plane arrow that returns on both main buttons.
02 Violet doorway. An arched door glowing violet at the top of the stairs: the open business, waiting.
03 Signage caption. OPEN FOR BUSINESS in small tracked capitals, with a fine arrow pointing at the door.
04 Route picker. Where will you build? with two tiles, MAINLAND and FREE ZONE, the first question asked.
05 Explore your options. The violet button shares its colour with the doorway, so both read as the way forward.
06 IDEA at the foot. Where the climb starts: a small spaced label with an arrow pointing at the lower steps.

About the project
The full write-up, if you want it. About 4 minutes.
01Brief and idea
The problem, and the one idea that answers it.1 min
The brief
Many setup firms promise the same thing in the same words, and visitors often leave before they understand the first choice they face. The fix is to make that choice feel simple, collect it on the spot, and hand the team an enquiry that already knows which route the founder is on.
The idea
Starting a company is a climb with a clear top, so the hero shows exactly that: a long flight of soft green steps rising from Idea at the floor to an open violet door. The metaphor does the reassuring, which frees the copy to be short. The card on the left turns the first step into a tap. Mainland or Free Zone is also the first question an AI assistant would ask on WhatsApp, so the site and the assistant start the same conversation.
02The write-up
The design, decision by decision.5 chapters · 2 min
The question every founder meets
Anyone opening a company in the UAE hits the same fork early: a mainland licence or a free zone one. Setup firms tend to bury that choice under package tables and long lists of zones, and the founder leaves without knowing which road they are on. Meridian puts the fork on the first screen. A card headed Where will you build? offers two tiles, MAINLAND and FREE ZONE, each with a chevron, and nothing else is asked before that.
A staircase you can read in a second
The picture explains the service without a word of copy. A long flight of chalky sage steps rises diagonally across a lavender room, from a small label marked IDEA with an arrow at the bottom left to an arched doorway glowing violet at the top right. Beside the door, OPEN FOR BUSINESS points at it with a fine arrow. It is a plain metaphor, deliberately, because the reassurance needs to land faster than any explanation of trade licences could.
Heavy headline, light promise
Your next chapter. is set in a heavy geometric sans in near-black, packed so tight that the h and t of chapter nearly touch the line above. The full stop is as bold as the letters. Underneath, Start your business in the UAE. drops to a light weight of the same family, a plain statement of the service. The labels in the scene, IDEA and OPEN FOR BUSINESS, use small, widely tracked capitals, so they read as signage in the room rather than page copy.
Violet means go
The palette keeps one colour for one meaning. The walls and floor are lavender, the stairs a soft sage, and saturated violet appears only where there is a way forward: inside the doorway, and on the Explore your options button under the two choices. The header button, Let's begin, is a near-black pill with a small paper-plane arrow, the same mark that sits beside the MERIDIAN wordmark. Fine line drawings of a skyline and a palm tree label the two routes.
The site and the assistant agree
Mainland or Free Zone is also where an enquiry assistant would start, so the site and WhatsApp are planned to open the same conversation. A tap on either tile would reach the team's inbox already marked with the route. After hours, an assistant on the Run plan would ask the identical question, then gather the basics for someone on the team to follow up. Behind the first screen would sit Setup, How it works and About, roughly 1,800 words in all, with Arabic available as an extra.

Type, colour, photography and the lines on the page.3 roles
- Display
- A heavy geometric sans in near-black, set very large, its two lines nearly touching.
- Supporting
- A light weight of the same geometric family, sentence case, one plain line under the headline.
- Labels
- Tiny capitals, tracked very wide and placed in the scene like signs, paired with fine line arrows.
A heavy geometric sans sets the headline tight, almost touching line to line, with a lighter weight of the same family for the subline. Small labels use a widely tracked capital sans, like signage. The room is lavender, the stairs a chalky sage and the door a saturated violet, the one colour repeated on the Explore your options button. Line icons of a skyline and a palm mark the two routes.

Encouraging and practical. It talks to the founder as someone about to act, not someone to be sold to, and it asks a real question before it asks for any details.
