About the project

The full write-up, if you want it. About 4 minutes.

Brief and idea

The problem, and the one idea that answers it.1 min

The brief

Detailing is sold on trust in the finish, and phone photos of a shiny car all look the same. Quality has to show at a glance, the three services need explaining without a price wall, and interest should become a booked slot before the visitor drifts back to Instagram.

The idea

Get closer than the customer can. The hero crops in until the car is all curve, metallic flake and light, which is how an owner looks at paint after a detail. Orange crosshairs and a measuring line turn the photo into an inspection, so the craft reads as precise rather than flashy. The headline promises every detail and the image shows it. Underneath, Detail, Polish and Protect become a simple 01, 02, 03 path that ends at one orange button.

The write-up

The design, decision by decision.6 chapters · 3 min

Closer than the customer gets

Most detailing pages show a whole car, shiny, under a blue sky, and each looks like the last. Gloss Garage, imagined as a detailing studio, crops in until the car is all curve: a midnight blue wing, the edge of a headlamp, a wheel arch and an orange brake caliper behind the spokes. Under the strip lights the metallic flake in the paint is visible, and the reflections run unbroken across the panel. That is how an owner inspects a car after a detail, face close to the paint, hunting for swirls.

For owners who notice

The people this page courts already care about their cars. They spot swirl marks in a car park, they know what a ceramic coating does, and at some point they have probably paid for a quick wash that called itself a detail. They do not need persuading that paint matters. They need proof that this studio looks at paint the way they do, and then an easy way to book a slot. Both jobs are handled on one dark screen, with nothing on it that does not serve one or the other.

Marks of an inspection

Thin orange lines are drawn straight onto the photograph. A small crosshair sits on the wing with a horizontal rule running out across the tyre, and a long, narrow bracket stands upright at the right edge like a ruler. They borrow the language of a paint inspection, the kind done with a torch and a thickness gauge, so the craft reads as precise rather than flashy. The orange comes straight from the brake caliper glowing behind the spokes, which ties the graphics back into the car itself.

Headline at speed

EVERY DETAIL. is set in a heavy, slanted sans in capitals, tightly spaced, so the two words lean forward as if already moving. The line under it, FINISHES THAT DESERVE A CLOSER LOOK., switches to a wide, tracked capital sans in orange. The wordmark uses the same wide capitals, GLOSS in white and GARAGE in orange, followed by a long hairline across to Detailing, Protection and Studio in a quiet regular weight. Three registers, each with one job: shout, explain, navigate.

Three steps to a booked slot

Along the lower edge, the service is laid out as a short path rather than a price list: 01 DETAIL, 02 POLISH and 03 PROTECT, each over a long underline. The first is active, its number and rule picked out in orange, while the other two wait in grey. At the end sits Book your detail, a solid orange block with dark text and a small arrow, the only filled shape along the foot of the page. Explaining three services without a wall of prices keeps the conversation about the finish.

Planned as one page

On the Launch plan this grows into one page in six sections, with roughly 600 words of copy built around Detail, Polish and Protect. A WhatsApp button follows the visitor down the page to book a detail, and every tap is counted. Arabic can be added as an extra. Online payment for a booked slot, landing in the studio's own account, comes with the step up to the Grow plan. The garage palette of near-black blue, strip-light white and caliper orange carries through every section.

For the headline, a heavy slanted sans in capitals, set tight, reads as speed. Supporting lines switch to a wide, tracked capital sans in orange, and the nav and tabs use a quiet regular weight. The colour story is a dark garage: near-black blue, white strip light and one hot orange taken from the brake calipers. Photography is low key and macro, with reflections doing the decoration.

Precise and a little proud, written for enthusiasts. The headline makes a promise the photograph keeps, and the services are named as single verbs, Detail, Polish, Protect, rather than as packages.
