01Point by point

01 Squared wordmark. STATUE in wide squared capitals, followed by an empty outlined box like a plinth waiting for its piece.

02 Heavy squared headline. BE YOUR OWN ICON. fills the left half in capitals that feel cut from metal rather than typed.

03 Clipped-corner button. Explore our services sits in a chamfered double outline, closer to a gallery plaque than a web button.

04 Colour from the work. Neon pink and orange eye makeup is the only strong colour on the first screen.

05 Chrome ring. A liquid-metal ring orbits the portrait; glass bubbles and silver ribbons carry the idea further down.

06 A second way in. YOUR NEXT LOOK STARTS HERE frames a booking link in a thin box for visitors ready to commit.

Brief and idea

The problem, and the one idea that answers it.1 min

The brief

Imagined as a studio in Al Quoz offering hair, nails and makeup under one roof. The site has to show range across three crafts, make the studio itself feel worth the visit, and turn a browse into a booking request without a phone call. Clients choose on looks, so the photography has to do most of the selling.

The idea

Treat beauty as sculpture. The name gives the cue: every look is something shaped, finished and put on show. So the page is hung like a gallery, black rooms for the statement pieces and plaster-white walls for the details. The hero says it plainly, Be your own icon, and each section after it answers one question in turn: what do you do, where do you do it, what does it look like, and how do I book.

Beauty treated as sculpture

Statue is imagined as a hair, nails and makeup studio in Al Quoz, and its name sets the whole idea: a look is made the way a sculptor makes a piece, then put on display. So the homepage behaves like an exhibition. Black rooms carry the statement pieces, plaster-white walls carry the detail work, and chrome props, a liquid-metal ring, glass bubbles and silver ribbons, play the part of plinths and frames. The hero says it in four words, BE YOUR OWN ICON., in heavy squared capitals beside a portrait in neon pink and orange eye makeup.

For people who book a look

The visitor here is not booking a trim. They arrive with a reference photo of bold colour, a sharp bob or chrome nails, and want proof the studio can make it. So the photography does most of the selling and the copy stays out of its way. Lines are short and clipped, set in a monospaced face with the dry tone of a museum caption: Precision in the details. Expression without limits. Hair is summed up in three single words, each closed by a full stop, Cut. Colour. Finish., and nails get the same treatment with Shape. Colour. Detail.

Four rooms, numbered like a show

Each section opens with a numbered label and a thin rule, as if you were walking through an exhibition. 01 / OUR SERVICES puts hair, nails and makeup side by side on plaster white under THE DETAILS MAKE THE LOOK. 02 / THE STUDIO turns black, with a concrete-and-steel interior and the line SCULPTED AROUND YOU. 03 / OUR WORK hangs three close-ups titled CUT & FORM, CHROME DETAILS and COLOUR STUDY. 04 / BOOK brings everything down to a single card.

Chrome, coral and nothing else

The palette is almost colourless on purpose. Near-black and plaster white swap places from section to section, chrome supplies the shine, and colour arrives almost entirely through the work itself: pink and orange pigment on an eyelid, coral and silver on almond nails. That restraint gives the one coral button on the page real weight. Buttons and the booking card have clipped corners, the hero button is drawn in a thin double outline, and the squared display face returns in the footer wordmark, still followed by its small empty square.

A booking card, not a phone call

The last section sets MAKE IT YOUR MOMENT. in a cracked stone texture, beside a cream card titled TAKE A SEAT. It asks for three things, a service, a preferred date and a preferred time, then offers one coral button: Request an appointment. A small line underneath, We'll confirm the details with you, keeps it honest as a request rather than a paid booking. The request is meant to land in one inbox, and the portraits, generated for this design, stand in for the studio's own work.

Type and voice

Type, colour, photography and the lines on the page.3 roles
Display
Wide, heavy squared capitals with clipped corners, like letters cut from sheet metal.
Body
Monospaced face in sentence case with open letter spacing, reading like a gallery wall label.
Labels
Monospaced capitals with a section number, a slash and a thin trailing rule.

Type is a wide, squared display face in heavy caps, paired with a monospaced text face that reads like a gallery label. The palette stays nearly colourless: near-black, plaster white and liquid chrome, with coral and sunset orange saved for the makeup, the nails and the one booking button. Imagery is close-cropped portrait and detail work, with chrome rings and glass bubbles as recurring props. Sections switch between dark and light, each opening with a numbered label such as 01 / Our services.

TELL US A LITTLE, AND WE'LL TAKE CARE OF THE REST.

Confident and clipped. Statements in capitals, small print in a calm monospaced voice, services described in three one-word beats. It talks like a curator: precise, a little cool, never pushy.
